URI Global Community to Connect Generations for International Day of Peace 2026
In celebration of the International Day of Peace 2026, the United Religions Initiative (URI) is bringing its worldwide network together for a special global community call focused on youth leadership, shared wisdom, and peacebuilding across all ages.
The upcoming session, titled “Youth & Intergenerational Dialogue: Building Peace Across Generations,” will take place online on September 30, 2026, at 6:00 AM Pacific Time (find your local time). The 90-minute gathering is open to the entire URI family, partners, and friends around the globe. To ensure broad access, live interpretation will be available in Arabic, French, Hindi, and Spanish.
This year’s dialogue aligns with the International Day of Peace theme, “Invest in Peace: For Everyone, Everywhere, Every Day.” The gathering will center on an essential question: What can different generations learn from one another as we build peace together?
Rather than speaking on behalf of young people, the community call is designed to provide an open, direct platform for youth while bridging dialogue with seasoned leaders. Participants will hear insights from both emerging and veteran peacebuilders across the URI network and highlight peace initiatives led by Cooperation Circles worldwide.
The invitation extends across every part of the URI movement—including youth advocates, elder community leaders, Cooperation Circle and Individual Members, Trustees, staff, partners, and supporters.
Community members and guests can secure their spot by completing the registration form.
In addition to attending the call, URI is calling on grassroots members to spotlight their local efforts. Cooperation Circles, organisations, and community groups hosting events for the International Day of Peace are invited to submit their initiatives via the IDP activity sharing form so they can be celebrated and amplified globally.
