Inter Faith Week 2025 marked a successful chapter for URI UK, aligning closely with the national theme of “Community: Together We Serve” highlighted by InterFaithWeek.org. Across the Week, URI UK helped demonstrate how cooperation between people of different beliefs can deepen understanding, challenge prejudice, and build resilient communities.

The Humanity in Harmony event, part of URI UK’s Unity in Diversity initiative, became a defining moment of the Week. Held at the Zoroastrian Centre, it brought together people from a wide range of faiths, beliefs, and backgrounds to share nourishing food, stories, and reflections. More than a one‑off gathering, Humanity in Harmony invited participants to help shape the ongoing Unity in Diversity project, exploring how local communities can build stronger links and cooperate across differences. Attendees spoke of a warm, hopeful atmosphere in which difficult questions about identity, belonging, and hospitality could be approached with honesty and mutual respect.

Equally significant was Envisioning Interfaith Together, a dedicated gathering of URI UK Cooperation Circles. Hosted in Coventry, the day created space for deep reflection on what it means to “live well together” in a diverse society. Through open dialogue, storytelling, and practical workshops, participants imagined new forms of joint action on shared challenges—from social division and discrimination to global crises. The event strengthened relationships between Cooperation Circles and reaffirmed their role as dynamic hubs for local dialogue, collaboration, and peacebuilding.

Together, these two flagship events embodied the spirit of Inter Faith Week 2025: celebrating the UK’s rich diversity, showcasing the positive work of faith and interfaith groups, and drawing new people into the interfaith movement. Building on this momentum, URI UK will continue nurturing a culture of peace, justice, and healing among people of all beliefs in the year ahead.
